The Junior handball tournament club of Winsen e.V. (JHV Winsen e.V) would like to invite you and your team from

May, 21^st – May, 24^th 2010 (Pentecost)

to the

10^th International Junior-Handball-Tournament

famila ELBEMASTERS

in Winsen on the Luhe.

Winsen is a town located between Hamburg and Lüneburg next to the beautiful Lüneburger Heide (a national heathland park). International teams from Lithuania, Denmark, Poland, Sweden, Great Britain, France, Austria and Switzerland are invited.

Time and Venue

Arrival on Friday May, 21^st 2010 at 18.00

Start of the tournament is on Saturday at 08.00

The tournament ends on Monday May, 24^th at approximately 15.00

The exact tournament schedule will be announced after the registration deadline. The games will take place in sports halls in Winsen.

Playing Classes

Older players are not allowed to play. All players are to bring along their player-passes / ID cards, as checks will be carried out by tournament officials. Without a players-pass, players will not be allowed to participate.

Playing time

The duration for each game is 2 x 10 minutes playing time. To accommodate all teams each class category is limited to 10 teams. Four matches per team will be guaranteed.

Trophies and prizes

Trophies will be presented to the first three teams in each class and the first four teams in each class will receive additional prizes.

Arrival / boarding and lodging / entry fee

Teams can start arriving on Friday at 17.00.

Participants will sleep in the class rooms of the local schools. Please bring your own inflatable mattress and sleeping bag.

We offer a hearty breakfast and a warm dinner per day.

The cost per participant is €68,--

The cost per team is €40,-- but limited to €120,-- per club.

These costs include boarding and lodging as well as the full social program.

Social Program and leisure activities

This tournament is suitable for clubs that want to compete one last time before the competitive season ends, or want to prepare their team for the next season. Boredom in the time when participants are not playing will not arise as we have catered for an extensive leisure time program.

We for example offer complimentary visits to the cinema or swimming pool, 2 player's nights and other exciting activities.

Registration

Registration for the tournament can be done via internet at http://www.elbemasters.de.

Each club can only enter one team for every class category.

Entry deadline is February, 28^th 2010!!

As every class category is limited to ten entries, entry submissions are binding and will be accepted in the order of their submission (entry date on the postage) and the receipt of an advance payment of €150,- per team. The advance payment is to be transferred to the following account at the time of submission.

Please do not forget to state the club name and team(s) on your transfer.

Applications without the the advance payment will not be considered. The advance payment will be set off against the total cost.

Additionally, we require the payment of a deposit of €80,-- per team which will be returned to you after leaving the sleeping quarters in an orderly condition. This deposit needs to be transfered in advance and will be transferred back to you one week after the tournament. Please indicate your bank account on the application for this reason.

Should a team want to withdraw from the tournament this has to be done in writing 6 weeks before the tournament, otherwise the down payment will have to be retained, unless a substitute team can be found.

The rest of the fees for the participants and teams as well as the deposit have to be transferred, at the latest by April, 30^th 2010 (3 weeks before start of the tournament) to the above mentioned bank account.

Please inform us about the exact number of players that will participate in the tournament three weeks in advance. Should a confirmed player not participate in the tournament we unfortunately have to charge a cancellation fee of 35€.

Every team must be accompanied by a responsible adult, otherwise they will not be permitted to participate.
